IN THE BEGINNING…

Genesis 1:1

GOD IS SUPREME

In Christianity, we believe God is comprehended to be the supreme being, creator deity, and principal object of faith. God is usually perceived as being omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (all-present) and as having an eternal and necessary existence. These attributes are used either in way of similarity or are taken factually. God is most often held to be intangible. Incorporeality and corporeality of God are related to conceptions of perfection (being outside nature) and Deity (divine).

Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light…

Deuteronomy 10:17 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward. 18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

Psalms 47: 2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

LUCIFER’S (light-bringing) or Hêlêl (Shining One) RESPONSE

How Was Satan Cast From Heaven?

Based upon information gleaned from a comparison of Ezekiel 28:12-19 with Isaiah 14, Jude 1:6,9, and II Peter 2:4, and other passages, the following picture of Satan begins to emerge.

Satan was created as one of the host of angelic beings . . . an anointed cherub, i.e., the captain of the cherubic hosts. Sometime prior to the creation of the natural order, Satan became vain about his beauty and position, and his heart became rebellious against God. He was able to secure a considerable following among the angels, resulting in their expulsion from Heaven (Luke 10:18; II Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:4). Since that day, Satan devotes himself to opposing the work of God in every way possible and to attempt to destroy all of the good that God has created in the natural order. He (Satan) is allowed to continue this way for a period but will ultimately be confined to Hell for eternity” (Revelation 20:10).   these actions were presumably before Genesis as Satan proposes himself in less than the glory magnified in heaven based on the scriptures.

Hebrews 1:7-8 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels’ spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Revelation 12:1-12 WAR In heaven!

Isaiah 14:12 -14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Luke 10:17-18 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Ezekiel 28:12-18 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty…

Jude 1:6,9  6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day...9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

1 Peter 5: 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION (5 Minutes to Midnight)

Mankind was created the very last of god's creations.  God needed no interference from the freewill thinking of mankind, nor to give ample opportunity for him to brag or boast how he (man) helped OGd place the sun, moon, and stars in their perspective places.

God’s original plan was based on what He saw in the future for mankind.  He knew man would be frail and helpless, especially with Satan on the loose.  His plan was perfect!  God named Jesus as the Savior of the Worlds (Hebrew 1:13) before all of heaven.  In Genesis 3, God introduces Jesus as the Savior for mankind while denouncing Satan simultaneously.

Through his best efforts, Satan looks to foil God’s plans several times in the bible and even today. But Romans 8:28 offers God is supreme (see the first paragraph) and Ephesians 6:11 offers a clear defense from the dark forces.

Genesis 3:1-4 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?... 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

Genesis 3:7 They sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothed them.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it (Jesus) was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Matthew 1:21 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Hebrews 10: 5 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Isaiah 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

John 8:58 -Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
